To begin browsing the Providers section of QualityTools, sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, click on the "Providers" graphical button located at the top of any QualityTools page.
The QualityTools Providers page offers tools to help physicians, nurses, hospitals, health systems, and other professional caregivers to improve the quality of care they deliver. The resources you will find for Providers include tools derived from clinical practice guidelines, tools addressing patient and medication safety, benchmarking and comparative data, tools addressing specific diseases or conditions, and tools for maintaining a patient's health.
Examples of some of the types of tools you will find here include algorithms, quick reference and pocket guides, guideline summaries for use with a personal digital assistant (PDA) or Palm application, and evidence reports/technology assessments.
Upon reaching the Providers Browse page you will find a list of topic headings that can be used to further qualify your browse. To find tools developed for specific uses, click on the topic heading that best describes your current needs. If you are unsure of what types of tools you need, follow the "Show All Tools" link located at the bottom of the page to view all of the tools developed for Providers.
