To begin browsing the Policymakers section of QualityTools, sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, click on the "Policymakers" graphical button located at the top of any QualityTools page.
The QualityTools Policymakers page offers tools to help national, regional, state or local decision makers. The resources you will find for Policymakers include tools derived from clinical practice guidelines, tools addressing patient and medication safety, benchmarking and comparative data, quality improvement initiatives and strategies, and other tools for assisting in the development of policy for improving the quality of care delivered in your region, state, community, or organization.
Examples of some of the types of tools you will find here include action plans, national campaigns, databases, planning and resource guides, and healthcare quality report cards.
Upon reaching the Policymakers Browse page you will find a list of topic headings that can be used to further qualify your browse. To find tools developed for specific uses, click on the topic heading that best describes your current needs. If you are unsure of what types of tools you need, follow the "Show All Tools" link located at the bottom of the page to view all of the tools developed for Policymakers.
