To begin browsing the Payers and Purchasers section of QualityTools, sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, click on the "Payers and Purchasers" graphical button located at the top of any QualityTools page.
The QualityTools Payers and Purchasers page offers tools to help health plans, administrators, and employer groups. The resources you will find for Payers and Purchasers include tools derived from clinical practice guidelines, tools addressing patient and medication safety, benchmarking and comparative data, tools addressing specific diseases or health conditions, and other tools to help inform payment and purchasing decisions and improve the quality of care delivered to employees and health plan members.
Examples of some of the types of tools you will find here include employer guides and toolkits, quality improvement initiatives and strategies, hospital and health plan report cards, and training and educational materials for the workplace.
Upon reaching the Payers and Purchasers Browse page you will find a list of topic headings that can be used to further qualify your browse. To find tools developed for specific uses, click on the topic heading that best describes your current needs. If you are unsure of what types of tools you need, follow the "Show All Tools" link located at the bottom of the page to view all of the tools developed for Payers and Purchasers.
