To begin browsing the Patients and Consumers section of QualityTools, sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, click on the "Patients and Consumers" graphical button located at the top of any QualityTools page.
The QualityTools Patients and Consumers page offers tools to help individuals, and the people they care for, maintain their good health, obtain appropriate care, and make well-informed healthcare decisions. The resources you will find for Patients and Consumers include tools addressing specific diseases and health conditions, recommendations for choosing healthcare services, resources to help you better communicate with your healthcare provider, and tools for staying healthy and keeping safe.
Examples of some of the types of tools you will find here include patient and consumer fact sheets, patient diaries and guides, healthcare services report cards, and wallet cards.
Upon reaching the Patients and Consumers Browse page you will find a list of topic headings that can be used to further qualify your browse. To find tools developed for specific uses, click on the topic heading that best describes your current needs. If you are unsure of what types of tools you need, follow the "Show All Tools" link located at the bottom of the page to view all of the tools developed for Patients and Consumers.
